Chiswick holds two Remembrance Sunday services: the cenotaph parade from Chiswick Memorial Club, and Bedford Park's at St Michael and All Angels.

Remembrance Sunday 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November, and Chiswick is unusual in the borough in holding two services on the day: the civic parade to the cenotaph on Turnham Green, and a separate choral requiem in Bedford Park.

Hounslow Council has not yet published its 2026 arrangements. Everything set out below is the 2025 pattern, taken from the council’s own listing, and it is labelled as such. Armistice Day this year is Wednesday 11 November.

The two Chiswick services, as they ran in 2025

Chiswick town centre cenotaph. The parade party met at the Chiswick Memorial Club, Bourne Place, W4 2EL from 10am, and the parade left the club at 10.40am for the short route between the club and the Chiswick town centre cenotaph, the war memorial on Turnham Green. This is the one the borough’s civic party attends: in 2025 that meant the Mayor, Councillor Amy Croft, the Leader, Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, the Deputy Lieutenant, Ms Rosi Prescott, and the Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Councillor Gabriella Giles.

Bedford Park. A Choral Requiem Mass at 9.55am at St Michael and All Angels, Bath Road, W4 1TX. At 10.50am the choir, clergy and congregation processed to the Bedford Park memorial outside the Parish Hall for the Last Post and the two minute silence at 11am. Councillor Gerald McGregor attended.

If you want the silence itself rather than the parade, Bedford Park is the one that is timed to it. The cenotaph service starts earlier.

The rest of the borough, 2025 pattern

Hounslow Council’s members attend services at nine war memorials. These are the other seven, from the council’s 2025 listing.

Where 2025 arrangements
Brentford Parade leaves St Paul’s Church at 10.40am to Brentford Library; service 10.50am

Heston Meet the TA centre, Vicarage Farm Road and New Heston Road, 10am; parade leaves 10.15am to St Leonard’s; service 10.45am. Non-marchers at the church for 10.30am

Cranford Service at Cranford War Memorial, High Street at the junction with The Avenue, 10.45am
Feltham Meet Victoria Road 2.30pm for the parade to Feltham Green TW13 4AF; service 3pm

Feltham is the outlier: an afternoon service, not a morning one.

When the 2026 details will be published

The council puts out a single news article each year listing every ward’s arrangements. The 2025 article was published on 21 October 2025, about two and a half weeks before the day.

So expect the 2026 list in the second half of October. Treat every time above as last year’s until then, and confirm with the club or the church before you set out.

Road closures

Hounslow Council does not publish road closures alongside its Remembrance Sunday listing, and none had been advertised for 2026 when we checked on 5 September. Short closures around the parade routes are normal on the morning. The live picture for the borough is the council’s traffic orders map at hounslow.traffweb.app, and anything currently in force locally is on our roadworks and travel page.

If you are driving in for the cenotaph service, the streets around Turnham Green are inside a controlled parking zone: our parking page sets out which zone, the hours it operates and what the bays cost on a Sunday.
